Crystaleen is the founder of Cobray Consulting. She has over 15 years of experience working in unionized environments, in both leadership and advisory positions. Her professional experience includes tenure in both provincial and municipal government acting as the subject matter expert in Disability Management. One of her key strengths lies in conducting thorough audits to identify potential risks and areas requiring attention. She possesses a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to auditing, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. She currently conducts Nationwide audits for the National Institute of Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR) reviewing and analyzing organizations' Disability Management programs and is highly skilled at the management of personal and confidential information.
Crystaleen has vast knowledge of Worker Compensation and Long Term Disability legislation and regulations relating to claims management, vocational rehabilitation, OH&S and human rights legislation. Her academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Sports Science. She is a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) and a Certified Disability Management Auditor (CBDMA).
Crystaleen's personal connections in having family, close friends, and community ties to members in policing, fire services and the armed forces, provides an innate drive and desire to serve first responders and veterans. Crystaleen does this by providing strong, fair, and progressive representation to promote and enhance equal rights, opportunities, and fair treatment. This passion, combined with her education and experiences in health sciences, disability management and human resources, enables her to be a trusted and an esteemed advocate.
